Tofukuii Temple is one of the five major temples of the Rinzai sect of zen in Kyoto. It is famous for its magnificent acer trees.
The Hojo (Abbot’s Quarters) at Tofukuji is surrounded by gardens on all sides, representing all things found in nature, each one of them with a different aspect.
